Unskilled nursing care: Providers (personal care aides) will aid you during your day-to-day task. They do not have intensive medical and nursing training. But they do have medical and nursing training. Most of them have many years of experience. Unskilled nursing care is an essential service in our company. In detail, unskilled nursing includes :

  1. Personal care:  Personal care services are to help your loved ones to be more comfortable at home through providing assistance with the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) which are a series of basic activities performed by individuals on a daily basis necessary for independent living at home or in the community.  Services include Medication/Hydration Reminders/Pick Up Prescriptions; Monitoring of Vital Signs; Laundry/Bathing and Dressing/Assistance with hygiene; Safety supervision; Meal Preparation/Light Housekeeping/ Laundry/Iron Clothes/Make Bed/Change Linens; Grocery Shop; Live-in Care
  2. Companion care: Assist with writing letters and correspondence; Sitter service; Engage in stimulating activities such as art projects and reading
  3. Child care:  From nanny and sitter services to highly-skilled pediatric nursing keep your baby or child healthy and safe. 
  4. Hospital-to-home short care: The first few days following discharge from a hospital or rehab are stressful and important to avoid any complications. Our registered nurses could coordinate discharge plans with your case manager/ discharge planner, family, and caregivers. We could offer unskilled or even skilled nursing to help you recover at your home. 

Skilled nursing care: RN/LPN and caregivers provide the skilled needs. At this time, we develop the Plan of Care with the patient, physicians, discharge planners, case managers and family. Home IV infusion; Wound care; Ventilator home management; Patient education. This service also provides for children/adults facing all kinds of medical conditions, such as gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory disorders, neurological disorders, cardiovascular disorders, and other chronic medical disorders. The list of nursing services may include: Gastrointestinal Disorders with Ostomies care, or gastrostomies with enteral feeding; Traumatic Brain Injuries/Seizure Disorders; Respiratory Disorders; Genetic  disorder: Down Syndrome or Mitochondrial Disease; Cardiac  Disorders; Endocrine Disorders; Quadriplegic/ Paraplegic Paralysis; Transplant  patients; Ventilator care; Tracheostomies  care; IV therapies; Wound Care; Medication Administration; Catheter Care; Ostomy care

Physical therapy:  Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent patients from caring for themselves. Services included in Physical Therapy: Home Safety Assessment; Body Mechanics/Orthotics/Gait Training; Aerobic Exercises; Range of Motion Exercises and Active and Passive Joint Mobility Training; Strength Building

Occupational therapy: The occupational therapist will evaluate clients for eligibility for treatment at home and offer services from activities of daily living (ADL) training, assistant device assessment, and post-operative rehabilitation.  Services include in occupational therapy: Exercises in Restoring Work Skills; Coordination/Mobility/Body Mechanics Enhancement; Home Safety Training; Balance Restoration Training; Use of Mobility Assistive Devices Training.

Speech Therapy and Language Pathology services:  Provide evaluation for post-stroke, other neurological cases, dysphagia or swallowing difficulties, and other speech impairments.  

Facilitation service:   J&C Healthcare provides consumer-directed service facilitation service to individuals approved for Virginia’s Medicaid Waivers (CCC Plus, CL & FIS, EPSDT program).  The Services Facilitators in J&C Healthcare support the individual in consumer-directing services. The service facilitator trains the Employer of Record(EOR) on the responsibilities of being an employer and how to manage attendants. private nursing care
